Ballet and Tap Barbara Taylor's dance school has been established around the Haxby area for over 40 Years. We have classes for Children from 3 Years of age for Ballet and Tap with Claire Lumb and Ebony Graham.
Freestyle/Jazz classes from age 4. Learn fantastic new moves to a boogie beat, with lots of stimulating fun movements. Have a jazzy time with Ebony Graham you will love it!
Street Dance classes from 4 Years of age. Come and join this fun and energetic class. Learn new moves to the latest chart music, with Claire Lumb.
Musical theatre From 6 to 18 years. This is one of our newest classes starting 6th December 2017. Love to sing, dance and act?... then this is the class for you. Get your name down now teacher Claire Lumb.
We also have adult range of Tap whether you are a beginner
or advanded tap at your own pace! with Claire Lumb.

2020
Exams held on the 22nd February 2020.
Our next event for 2019 is our popular annual show on the 19th dress rehearsal, and two performances on the 20th july 2019 at The Joseph Rowntree's Theatre. With all the dance styles we now offer we are looking forward to one of our biggest and spectacular events! All our shows are for Charity. All new pupils are welcome to take part.
Our last events were examinations. All classes can take part.
We hold two examinations per Year, achieving I.S.D.A medals and certificates.
these exams are held at Methodist church hall, Haxby, (opposite Haxby duck pond, also where scarecrow festival is presented).
Blue leotard with belt; white tights, blue headband, ballet shoes with ribbons (no elastic).
No makeup; no nail varnish or jewellery, hair to be tied in a bun with hair grips and hairnet.
Tap
As above, black tap shoes with black ribbons.
Plain black tracksuit bottoms; white plain t/shirt, black socks and plain black plimsoles.
No makeup; no nail varnish or jewellery, hair to be tied back off face.
